Ballet Folklorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez

February 6th, 2010 at 8:00 pm

Celebrating the rich cultural history of Mexico, this premiere folkloric dance company of 38 dancers and 13 musicians is an international treasure. This season's performances celebrate two important historical moments in Mexican history: the 200th anniversary of Mexican independence and the 100th anniversary of the 1910 Mexican Revolution. Each dance in the company’s repertory reflects a specific time period in history and draws on Mexican themes from religion and war to tales of love.
