Funny, poignant, and often heart-wrenching, Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac is coming to the Brooks Center stage on Tuesday, February 5 at 8 pm by the acclaimed Aquila Theatre based in New York City.

First staged in 1897 in Paris, the story follows the forlorn Cyrano de Bergerac. A French Army cadet of many talents, he feels he can never win the heart of his beloved Roxanne because of his own self-doubt on account of his large nose. As one of the most romantic adventures in world literature, audiences embark on a compelling journey through the charming streets of Paris, the dramatic battlefield of Arras, and the placid cloisters of the convent where the tale reaches an emotional conclusion.

The mission of Aquila Theatre is to make classical works accessible to the greatest possible number. They do so through productions in New York City, an annual national tour, international performances, and educational programs.
