For a night of family entertainment that is truly electrifying, come to Clemson’s Brooks Center for the Performing Arts and experience ArcAttack on Thursday, February 7 at 7 pm.

Joe DiPrima’s journey to develop the “singing Tesla coil,” a modified solid state Tesla coil that will produce musical tones, began in Austin, Texas in 2005. With the help of Steve Ward, a veteran Tesla coiler from Illinois and the addition of a robotic drum kit from Craig Newswanger of Resonant Studios, the band ArcAttack was born and built around this unique technological music maker.

First and foremost, the group sets out to not only put on an entertaining concert, but also create an otherworldly experience. ArcAttack’s hope is to inspire minds, both young and old, to take up an interest in science and the arts, further explore where they intersect, determine where they are going, and re-examine and appreciate their developments in the past.

ArcAttack has a blast on stage and is sure to send an electric current of excitement through the audience.
