Tri-ART Event:

African Children's Choir

February 10th, 2010 at 09:30 am

****THIS TRI-ART EVENT IS SOLD OUT****The African Children’s Choir was born following the brutal reign of Idi Amin in Uganda during which hundreds of thousands of children were orphaned. It was the singing of one small child that inspired founder Ray Barnett and his team of volunteers to recruit the first African Children’s Choir from these desperate children. Performing throughout the world, the children of the African Children’s Choir bring hope and joy to everyone they meet, while shining the spotlight on the plight of children in Africa. Their mission is to show the world that Africa’s most vulnerable children have beauty, dignity, and unlimited ability. Each year, a new choir is selected and the children from the previous year’s choir return to their homelands to attend school.
