Practices for prospective Fencers will begin on August 25th (08/25/09) in Fike's Club Gym at 7:00pm. Experience is definitely not necessary. Please read below to find out a bit more about practices and feel free to contact us if there are any other questions.
The current practice schedule for the 2009 Fall semester will follow as such unless otherwise specified by the club officers:
**For the first two weeks Tuesday and Thursday practices will be INTRODUCTION courses ONLY for beginning fencers. Regular practice will be held on Monday and Wednesday of these weeks for the returning fencers.
Starting Monday, September 7th (09/07/09) practices for these two groups will combine and return to the regular schedule.
Monday through Thursday: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Club Gym, Fike Hall
We always encourage prospective fencers to drop by anytime. When attending practice, make sure to wear athletic shoes and pants and (unless it is your first day) expect a heavy workout that concentrates on the legs.
If it is early in the semester, we would prefer new fencers to drop by on Tuesdays or Thursdays, as these practices will be run specifically for new recruits. If this isn't possible, coming Monday or Wednesday will work just as well.
