Members are provided services and benefits intended to bring nutraceuticals into the mainstream of American healthcare.

Primary areas of support include:

1. Basic and clinical research to determine key plant components, effectiveness, dosage levels, and interactions with other nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals.
2. Basic agricultural and plant biotechnology studies to determine how to grow medicinal plants and maximize key ingredients.
3. Quality assurance and standards development at all levels of supply and manufacturing.
