Our Mission
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is a membership organization whose mission is to provide opportunities for adults to further their knowledge in both academic and recreational pursuits, and to share their experience and interests with other members. Our vision is to provide residents of the Upstate of South Carolina with an excellent lifelong learning program while embracing the uniqueness of our members and Clemson University.
About Us
OLLI is open to all residents of the Upstate area. The members are local people who commute to OLLI courses and who participate regularly, getting to know one another as friends, co-volunteers and classmates.
OLLI has been supported in its start-up by interested community members as well as Clemson University’s College of Health, Education, and Human Development. The OLLI office is in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management.
Join Us for Learning and Fun
It is important that OLLI be run by its members. This not only taps the wealth of expertise within the membership, but also ensures that members' interests and values are represented in all of our activities. We encourage our members to get involved in these committees: OLLI Board, Long Range Planning, Administration & Governance, Fundraising, Curriculum, Membership, Newsletter, and Special Events. If you are interested, please fill out the information sheet and return it to the OLLI office.
