Leisure Skills - Kripalu Yoga
Course Description
This course is based on the teachings of the Kundalini yogi Swami Kripalu. This is a creative approach relaxation using key postures, breathing and spontaneity. Great emphasis is placed on learning breath work techniques to combine directly with the various kripalu yoga postures. The goal is to teach individuals the physiological reactions produced by this type of yoga in developing and restoring health.
Course Objectives
The emphasis of this course is on the philosophy rooted behind the essence of relaxation. The student will explore the holistic approach to the body mind connection through physical postures and sensitivity to the experience. There will be written assignments based on these experiences as well as written exams.
