Choral Music At Clemson
Singing in a vocal ensemble provides students opportunities to enhance music skills, build vocal ability, enjoy wonderful performance opportunities, and make lifelong friendships. Clemson Choirs offers six different vocal ensembles, with performances ranging from masterworks for combined choirs and orchestra in the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts to intimate chamber music or exhilarating a cappella pop shows at multiple on- and off-campus venues.
- Clemson University Singers is an auditioned, mixed choir of approximately 36 voices, specializing in a cappella music representing all genres and styles of musical history.
- Women's Glee and Men's Glee are non-auditioned choirs that perform on-campus concerts singing selections separately as well as SATB works as a large, combined choir.
For singers wanting to go beyond the traditional choral experience, there are three small, auditioned, vocal ensembles, each comprised of 12-16 singers also enrolled in one of the traditional choirs listed above.
- Viva Voce is a mixed ensemble performing a wide array of choral music, including Madrigals, Spirituals, and 20th-century works.
- Tigeroar and TakeNote are our wildly popular a cappella groups singing arrangements of some of today's biggest hits.
