Viva Voce

Viva Voce is Clemson University's newest vocal ensemble. Comprised of sixteen select voices performing choral music from the widest possible array of genres, styles, and time periods, the ensemble performs without a conductor. Members of Viva Voce are expected to participate in CU Singers and to take private voice lessons while in the ensemble. Each member will receive choral grant-in-aid money as well as having lesson fees paid.

Viva Voce performs four concerts each year in the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts as well as representing the Department of Performing Arts at official university events, such as he commencement ceremonies each semester. In addition, Viva Voce travels to multiple off-campus venues, touring briefly each fall semester and with CU Singers each spring.

Viva Voce (MUSIC 344) rehearses on Monday and Wednesday beginning at
5:30 p.m. Auditions are held during the first full week of classes each semester. Learn More...
