Applied Music Faculty

Professor Joyce Fankhauser, Harp

Joyce Fankhauser is the harp instructor in the Department of Performing Arts. Prof. Frankhauser received her musical training at the University of Washington and the Cleveland Institute of Music. She serves as the principal harpist in the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra and the Greenville Symphony. She has been the harpist with the Pacific Northwest Wagner Festival Orchestra and the Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional of Costa Rica.

Furthermore, she has performed a soloist with the Greenville County Youth Orchestra, a recitalist for the Winter Classics Series (Greenville), the Chamber Pot Series (Columbia), and the Langford Concert Series (Newberry). Prof. Fankhauser is on the faculty at Converse College.
