Professor Cheryl Hosler is the instructor of dance in the Department of Performing Arts, where she directs the newly formed University Dance Company. The company is comprised of select student dancers who are enrolled in the UDC class. In addition, Prof. Hosler teaches Introduction to Jazz Dance and Introduction to Ballet Dance. Prof. Hosler is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she was a member of the nationally acclaimed University Dance Company. While at OSU, she studied with several distinguished choreographers, including Bebe Miller, Karen Bell, Rosiland Pierson and Mark Taylor. Prof. Hosler has 26 years of dancing teaching experience and has choreographed numerous high school and college musicals and nearly 20 years of experience as a high school and college band flag line and twirling instructor. What’s more, she is owner and artistic director of Cheryl’s Dance Studio.
