Music Faculty

Prof. Eric J. Lapin, Clarinet

Prof. Eric J. Lapin teaches clarinet in the Department of Performing Arts at Clemson University. A native of Charleston, SC, he began his studies with former Charleston Symphony Orchestra Principal Clarinetist, Ilya Shterenberg. Prof. Lapin earned both a Bachelor of Music degree and a Master of Music degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of South Carolina, where he studied under Doug Graham and Joseph Eller. Prof. Lapin is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda and the International Clarinet Association. In addition, he remains an active teacher and performer throughout South Carolina. Most recently he performed as a member of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival Orchestra.
