Dr. Bruce Whisler is director of music technology and an assistant professor of music in the Department of Performing Arts. Dr. Whisler teaches courses focused on MIDI sequencing and audio recording. He earned the Doctor of Arts in Music from Ball State University in 2002 with emphases in music technology and music performance. Dr. Whisler is a member of the Audio Engineering Society and serves on the society's Technical Committee for Archives, Restoration, and Digital Libraries. He frequently appears as a trumpet performer with the Hendersonville Symphony (North Carolina), the Greenville Symphony, and the Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium Orchestra in Anderson, SC.
