Graduates Set Out To Pursue Their Dreams, Work, And Study
Thirteen senior performing arts majors graduated from Clemson University this spring and a many of them have been accepted to prestigious graduate programs across the country, while others are plan to strike out and pursue their passions in either music or theater.
Among the seniors headed to masters degree programs are percussionist David Agee, who will study at DePaul University (Chicago) and actor Grayson Powell who has been accepted into the acting program at Columbia University (New York).
Later this summer, a group of acting students is moving to the Windy City to follow their dreams of working in professional theaters. Among those headed to Chicago are Laura Jones, Jeff McLaren, and Anthony Goodin.
Some performing arts students will remain closer to home. Elizabeth Finley, a theatre concentration student, will work in Greenville. She has accepted a position in the journeyman’s program at Warehouse Theatre.
"We are all proud of theses students and impressed with their academic and professional accomplishments," said Rick Goodstein, chair of the Department of Performing Arts. "They will be sorely missed and we look forward to their continued success."
