Recital Policy

RECITALS (Majors only)

Half Recital

A half solo recital is required for students in MUSIC 354. Half recitals can be shared with another student, requiring each to perform a minimum of twenty minutes of music. Students must perform at least one work composed specifically for their instrument.

Full Recital

A full solo recital is required for students in MUSIC 454. Full recitals require a minimum of forty-five minutes of music. Students must perform at least three works composed specifically for their instrument.

RECITAL PROGRAMS

Program information for recitals is due to Sybil Miller in Room 221D one month prior to a performance. Program information must include the student’s name and instrument, the date, time, and place of the recital, title and composer of all pieces, composer dates (if available), and if applicable, translations and accompanist’s names and instruments.
