The former Clemson performing arts major played a jam session that didn’t kick off until 1:30 a.m. the night before. “I was studying,” he says jokingly, an explanation that makes perfect sense. David is a graduate student in jazz performance (drum/percussion) at Chicago’s DePaul University, where his daily schedule is similar to a professional jazz drummer. Learn More...

Just 16 months after graduating, Michael East can say that hard work does pay off. Michael is a project manager for Technical Theater Solutions (TTS), a Charleston-base firm that offers production management, scenery engineering, scenery construction, scenic and lighting maintenance, architectural theater consulting, and touring production management for the arts and entertainment industry. Among their clients are Walt Disney Cruises and the Spoleto Festival USA. “I’m extremely fortunate to do what I am doing so soon after finishing my degree,” said the 2007 Performing Arts graduate. Cara Allen’s telephone rings off the hook. As the assistant box office manager for Atlanta’s newest performing arts venue, the Cobb Energy Centre for the Performing Arts, she is constantly answering calls about Atlanta’s hottest shows. “My primary responsibility is to field calls about our shows and serve as the central contact for our founding patrons and corporate supporters,” Cara explained. “I handle their ticket needs and special requirements.” Learn More...
