Tina Thompson-Broussard teaches voice in the Department of Performing Arts. She has degrees in vocal performance from Baylor University and Florida State University. During her time in Europe she sang in numerous opera productions, concerts and, for an entire year, sang the role of Carlotta in The Phantom of the Opera in Hamburg, Germany. Locally, she has appeared with the Greenville Symphony, the Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium, the Hendersonville Symphony, the Hilton Head Symphony, the Foothills Philharmonic and the Newberry Opera. She frequently sings solo recitals and especially enjoys premiering new and unusual works. Prof. Broussard was a top finalist in the Savanna American Traditions Singing Competition in March 2003, and she recently played the role of Marian The Music Man in Greenville. Prof. Broussard teaches a large number of private voice students in Greenville and is also a part of the music faculty at Furman University.
