Biography

Dr. Linda Dzuris became Clemson’s first University Carillonneur in 1999 and is a Professor of Music in the Department of Performing Arts. She received her Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, and Doctor of Music degrees in organ performance and church music from the University of Michigan. Dzuris studied carillon in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with additional study at The Netherlands Carillon School in Amersfoort in the Netherlands.

Dzuris is a performance instructor of the North American Carillon School (NACS), which was established in 2013 as affiliate and American representative of the Royal Carillon School "Jef Denyn" in Mechelen, Belgium, itself the oldest and most reputable independent carillon school in the world. Students can come to Clemson University as a regional branch location for carillon study toward a NACS Proficiency Certificate or Performance Diploma.

Dzuris serves as both a board member and an adjudicator on the Associate Carillonneur Evaluation Committee for the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America. She has been a featured guest artist in carillon concert series throughout the United States, The Netherlands, France, and Switzerland.
