Biography

Mr. David Conley is a Lecturer in Performing Arts, where he directs the Men's Glee choir, and two select ensembles which perform popular a capella music: Tigeroar and TakeNote. Currently, he is pursuing his doctoral degree; an he also holds a Masterís degree from Erskine and an undergraduate degree from Clemson. While a Clemson undergraduate, he was the student conductor and accompanist for the Clemson choral ensembles and has stayed involved since that time as an arranger and director.

He also serves as an Adjunct in Music at Anderson University, teaching conducting, composition and church music.

Mr. Conley is active in the community as well, working as music director and pianist for Young Memorial Presbyterian Church and as an assistant director of the RC Edwards Middle School Festival Band. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and is a freelance composer and arranger, with hundreds of songs produced for churches, school/college ensembles and community orchestras. On the performance side, he plays piano in the jazz/blues band, Soulfetch; and various folk instruments in the Celtic ensemble, Emerald Road.

He lives in Clemson with his wife, Michelle, and their children, Wilson and Elyse. He enjoys reading, sports and all things British!
