Biography

Laura Koelle Pyle is a graduate of The Petrie School of Music at Converse College from which she earned a Master of Music degree in Cello Performance (cum laude). There she studied with Prof. Kenneth Law and served as Principal Cellist in the Converse Symphony Orchestra. She is the Applied Cello Professor at Clemson University and maintains private string studios in both Greenville and Spartanburg.

Laura has performed as a freelance cellist with several orchestras including the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra, and Brevard Philharmonic Orchestra. Born and raised in Chicago, IL., she moved to Greenville, SC in June 2009. Laura is the Artistic Director and Resident Cellist of Trio 864, an event music business based out of Greenville. She lives near downtown Greenville with her husband, Caleb, and their two dogs, Gomer and Fern.
