Biography

Laurie Parsons is a graduate of Furman University in music education. From 1991-1995 Laurie was the band and choral director at R.C. Edwards Middle School and also taught music at Providence Christian Academy from 1995-1997. Laurie has been the Associate Music Director of Clemson Presbyterian Church since 1998. There she coordinates music teams, assists with adult choir, and directs and arranges for the church youth ensemble. Professor Parsons is currently the horn instructor at Clemson University and Southern Wesleyan University.

Additionally she has a private studio of middle and high school students, and has been a member of the Anderson Chamber Orchestra for 20 years, where she plays third horn. Parsons is a member of the "Noego" Brass Quartet, and in 2007, she played with Josh Groban at the Bi-lo Center.
