The Department of Performing Arts recently held its annual H. Morris Cox Endowment Theatre Honors Banquet at the Madren Conference Center on campus. Production Studies in Performing Arts majors, members of the Clemson Players, faculty and staff, as well as H. Morris Cox attended the celebration that recognized outstanding student contributions to Clemson theatre.

The Brunswick Yarns Award for Theatre Excellence, the Clemson University Centennial Theatre Scholarship, and the Vincent Scholarship Endowment Awards were among the honors presented.
Senior Claire Pavlich received the 2007 Outstanding Student in Performing Arts. "The award is present to the performing arts major who, in the estimation of the faculty, has achieved the most oustanding record in the study of performing arts," said Rick Goodstein, chair of the department.
Performing arts students Elizabeth Finley and Michael East received the Brunswick Yarns Award for Theatre Excellence and the Arthur and Myra Feare Theatre Award, respectively. While Anthony Goodin, Laurie Jones, Lisa Justice, and Grayson Powell were recipients of a Richard K. Sanders Scholarship.
Jeff McLaren, Ryan McCrary, Michael East, in addition to Megan Israel, Christina Mann, and, Claire Plavich were beneficiaries of the Vincent Scholarship Endowment. The Chesley and Vera Vincent Scholarship was given to senior Elizabeth Harvey.
In addition, students who received Friends of the Brooks Center Grant-in-Aid, and the Ed Vedder Memorial Grant in Aid, were also recognized.
