Tiger Band Gear On Sale Tiger Band—The Band that Shakes the Southland—and the Clemson University Tiger Band Association (CUTBA) are pleased to announce the launch of www.clemsontigerbandgear.com, a website where fans of the band can purchase unique items emblazoned with the Tiger Band logo.
The site is a one-stop shopping site for Tiger Band shirts, caps, visors, and unique Tiger
Band logo’ed items such as key chains and license plates. Specialty gifts, such Pass In Review Volume 1, a DVD chronicling the early history of the Clemson University Marching Band are also available at the site.
“The web is a real treasure for all present and former Tiger Band members, and friends of Tiger Band,” said Ed Evans, CUTBA president.
Proceeds from the sale of Tiger Band cinch sacks, DVDs, and CDs as well as all other items go towards the Clemson University Tiger Band Association endowment fund and the Tiger Band Commitment campaign, an effort by CUTBA to raise scholarship funds for deserving band members. The Tiger Band Commitment is a two-year project to raise $2 million in cash and pledges.
One of newest items for purchase on the site is Pass in Review Volume 2, a DVD that follows the band through “Glory Years” of Clemson football. “This DVD features Tiger Band footage from 1980 through 1989. The Orange Bowl Parade in Miami, Fla., the world record balloon release in 1983, and a performance by the first alumni band also in 1983 are some the featured highlights.
“Tiger Band is pleased with the efforts by CUTBA to raise scholarship funds for our members,” said Mark Spede, Clemson’s director of bands. “The site is another way friends and supporters of Tiger Band to show their support by purchasing and wearing band apparel, and also know that they are supporting scholarships for Tiger Band.”
Along with Tiger Band logo’ed paraphernalia, Tiger Band fans, alumni, and parents will
find CUTBA logo’ed apparel, “Old Tiger Band” logo’ed items, and “Tiger Parent” logo’ed products as well as new items offered on a regular basis.
