SC LIFE Graduate Courses

for In-Service Teachers


 

"SC LIFE: Natural History of South Carolina” is a middle school life science curriculum that builds on the innovative teaching concepts developed in the SC MAPS program. Our courses and workshops provide hands-on learning experiences for science educators through detailed field, laboratory and classroom instruction on the life systems in each of the five regions of the state. During the field-based courses, teams of middle and high school teachers learn about the state’s natural history and assist the project faculty in developing curriculum materials targeted to South Carolina’s science standards. Current and historic course offerings are described below:
