"SC LIFE: Natural History of South Carolina” is a middle school life science curriculum that builds on the innovative teaching concepts developed in the SC MAPS program. Our courses and workshops provide hands-on learning experiences for science educators through detailed field, laboratory and classroom instruction on the life systems in each of the five regions of the state. During the field-based courses, teams of middle and high school teachers learn about the state’s natural history and assist the project faculty in developing curriculum materials targeted to South Carolina’s science standards.
