National Scholars Program
Giving for 2013
Since the students, alumni and parents of the National Scholars Program began making generous donations to the NSP Foundation account in September 2008, $144,793.80 in gifts have supported the intellectual and professional development of Scholars.
Now, for our fifth year of giving, our goal is to make that total (at least) $200,000. That means $55,206.20, which is an average of $201.48 given by each current Scholar, alumni and set of parents.
When we hit $200,000 (or more), your gifts will have supported 20 first-year study abroad experiences, OR 57 Maymester Educational Enrichment Expeditions, OR up to 10,000 books used in NSP book discussions. (OR 13,000 pizzas!)
Your donations also support guest speakers like Yale historian David Blight, authors like Tayari Jones, and world leaders like German minister of Parliament Harald Leibrecht who have shared their visions and expertise with Clemson students through lectures, workshops and institutes.
Most of all, your generosity will support the life-changing educational and mentoring experiences that are the hallmark of the NSP and that have made the NSP the envy of merit scholarship programs around the country!
