Study Abroad

Third-Party Programs

Many study abroad opportunities are available through third party providers. Clemson maintains memberships and affiliations with a number of these providers. Generally, third party providers give you assistance with logistical arrangements (travel, visas, etc.), as well as with the classes and academic components of your study abroad experience. While overseas, you remain registered at Clemson in a course called TSAP 101. This course maintains your status as a full-time Clemson student. Class enrollments while you are overseas are made through the third-party provider. You must have your classes pre-approved so that you will receive transfer credit (hours only, not grades) after we receive a copy of the transcript from the third-party provider. Costs include a study abroad fee, program fees (paid directly to the third party provider), and your personal living and travel expenses.
