  • Students can check in at the Watt Family Innovation Center beginning at 8 a.m.

  • Students will receive materials for their guest(s) with their own session materials. There is no separate check-in for guests.

  • Reminder: All persons attending with you, including your parents, must be registered as your guests. There is a separate guest fee for each guest. You may register one/two people as your guests. You may log back in to your registration to complete the form on the Guests page and make the payment.

  • Plan to arrive on time. Your day begins promptly after you check-in for your session.

  • Reminder - your orientation registration fees must be paid prior to the session. If you have a balance due, please log back in to your registration and make the payment.

  • Manning Hall and Byrnes Hall are located directly behind Hendrix Student Center (HSC). There is easy access by walking through HSC. Exit through the second floor glass doors at the back of HSC and follow the signs along the walkway.  Female students will stay in Manning Hall; male students will stay in Byrnes Hall.

  • If you are arriving the night before your session, you can obtain your room assignment and key between 3-7 p.m. in the lobby of Manning Hall. If you arrive after 7 p.m., the name and telephone number of the residence hall Front Desk Manager will be on the door.

  • NOTE: If you pick up your key from the residence hall the night before your session, you will be charged the pre-orientation housing rate of $20, whether or not you stay in the room that night.

  • Day of session: You can obtain your room assignment and key after 3:30 p.m. in the lobbies of Manning Hall and Byrnes Hall.

  • We provide a linen set, pillow and shower towel for each student.

  • If you want to room with a friend, the two of you must be present together at your residence hall to request the same room. Housing will honor the request. A student cannot sign-in and ask to "save a space" for a friend.

  • Front desk telephone for Manning Hall: 864-656-2311

  • UPDATE: Registration for guest housing will automatically close once we reach capacity. If you pre-registered and paid for guest housing, your accommodations in a residence hall are confirmed. We are unable to guarantee any walk-in requests for housing at the orientation session.

  • Guest housing is only available for guests of freshman students.

  • Guests and students do not stay in the same residence hall.

  • Barnett Hall is located behind Hendrix Student Center, on the other side of Bryan Circle. There is no daytime parking provided for guests.
