The Unclassified Position Vacancy Announcement is sent by the hiring unit to the Office of Access & Equity prior to the recruitment of any position that is:
- unclassified
- temporary or permanent
- full-time or part-time
The purpose of the form is to provide the Office of Access & Equity with information about the position, and designates the contact person who will serve as the search committee chairperson. After it is signed by the hiring department administrator and budget center designee, it is then sent to the Office of Access & Equity for review prior to beginning recruitment. With this information, we can determine Affirmative Action special recruitment needs, provide the department with information on underrepresentation for the vacant position and share ideas regarding recruitment strategies. The approved original of the Unclassified Position Vacancy Announcement will be returned to the recruiting department where it is to be maintained as part of the recruitment file.
