Advancing Undergraduate Research Excellence Discovering the past and present
to create for the future. |

Students in all majors are engaged in a process of discovery. Undergraduate research provides opportunities for students to pursue their intellectual and creative passion, promotes problem-solving, critical thinking and personal reflection and encourages students to build communication skills and investigative methods valued in post-graduate work. By applying inquiry methodologies to science, social science and humanities research, students develop the critical skills necessary to innovate for the future. |

Clemson University is actively transitioning to a multi-disciplinary definition of research called Creative Inquiry. The Creative Inquiry model is based on the assumption that knowledge is available in every situation and is discovered through a combination of questioning and acting. |
