About Meeting of the Minds

Theme

Advancing Undergraduate Research Excellence Discovering the past and present to create for the future.

Students in all majors are engaged in a process of discovery. Undergraduate research provides opportunities for students to pursue their intellectual and creative passion, promotes problem-solving, critical thinking and personal reflection and encourages students to build communication skills and investigative methods valued in post-graduate work. By applying inquiry methodologies to science, social science and humanities research, students develop the critical skills necessary to innovate for the future.

  Undergraduate Research at Clemson University
Clemson University is actively transitioning to a multi-disciplinary definition of research called Creative Inquiry. The Creative Inquiry model is based on the assumption that knowledge is available in every situation and is discovered through a combination of questioning and acting.

The administration and faculty at Clemson University are committed to providing all undergraduates with a substantive research experience. Acknowledging that students have a wide range of research interests, Clemson has embraced Creative Inquiry as a diverse and inclusive approach to research in all fields.
