Research Committee

The Research Committee shall consider and recommend policies regarding the research activities of the University and shall maintain continuous review of University compliance with laws, regulations and guidelines related to research activities. Research policy shall be designed to

• increase the quality and quantity of University research and scholarly activities
• encourage and facilitate growth in external funding for University research programs
• advance undergraduate and graduate education, and public service
• develop a broad public awareness of the societal benefits of the scholarly achievements of the University
• promote entrepreneurial activity and transfer of technology to increase the number of patents, licenses and start-up businesses
