The Clemson Alumni Council exists to facilitate the partnership between the University and the Clemson Family. The diverse group of Tigers was formed to ensure that the opinions and perspectives of alumni across the broad spectrum of our University can be voiced and heard. Clemson University needs the input, participation and support of its outstanding alumni as it aspires to do an even greater job of reaching its goals, overcoming any obstacles, highlighting the many achievements and fulfilling its mission.
This important group meets in Clemson twice a year to network, to share ideas and to hear updates from the Alumni Association staff and board. Members also stay involved throughout the year by lending their expertise to one of six committee areas. From marketing to special events planning, there is a place for each member to leave his or her mark and make a difference for his or her alma mater.
The Clemson Alumni Council ties Tigers to their University and the University to its Tigers.

This committee strives to increase the overall involvement and output levels of our Clemson Clubs and special-interest groups, and to identify ways that Clemson can best support these willing ambassadors and vice-versa. Objectives include creating consistent and updated resource manuals for use of alumni group leaders, planning educational opportunities for alumni volunteers away from Clemson’s campus, establishing a network that helps facilitate communication among peer alumni leaders, ensuring the appropriate promotion of “organized” alumni activities across the globe throughout the course of a year, achieving alumni participation goals within geographical areas, recognizing alumni groups for outstanding contributions to Clemson and community, and approving requests for new alumni groups.

Seeks opportunities to provide valuable services/resources to Clemson’s alumni, while also providing (when possible and appropriate) the Alumni Association with financial resources to support future operational needs and University initiatives. In an environment where sponsorship and partnership revenue are more and more important to the operational needs of the Association, this committee evaluates and considers opportunities to associate with a variety of vendors who wish to market products to our fellow alumni. Objectives include building a portfolio of “desirable things to offer” our alumni, maintaining our current level of revenue from various partnerships or sponsorships, and developing a plan to secure additional future revenue.
