Richard Cowden, CPA

Richard joined the Clemson University Office of Internal Auditing in 1988 as Audits Manager. Currently, he is the Assistant Director. Prior to Clemson University, Richard spent several years in the profession of public accounting and gained considerable experience in financial auditing, tax planning and preparation, consulting and other accounting services.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia and a Master of Professional Accountancy from Clemson University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the South Carolina Association of CPAs.
