Robert H. Jones
Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost
Professor of School of Agricultural, Forest, and Environmental Sciences (SAFES)
Robert H. “Bob” Jones is Clemson’s first executive vice president for academic affairs and provost, providing leadership for the university’s undergraduate and graduate programs, academic support programs, research and public service activities. Jones earned his bachelor’s degree in forest management and master’s in forestry from Clemson and his doctorate in forest ecology from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse University. He previously served as dean of the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University and department head and professor of biological sciences at Virginia Tech.
As Associate Provost, Dr. Aziz assists with development of performance and compensation guidelines; works with tenure, promotion, and reappointment including eTPR, eForm 3, and FAS; and is responsible for the creation of faculty professional development and leadership programs.
Director of Online Education
As Director of Online Education, Witt works closely with leadership teams across the University to develop, market, and deliver high-quality courses and programs in blended and online formats. He ensures compliance with government regulations and accreditation standards and provides vision, leadership, direction, expertise, and quality assurance for online faculty development, online course and program design, online education policies and standards, online student success, and strategic planning for online education.
J. Blake Snider
Director of Summer School
As the new Director of Summer School, Dr. Snider is responsible for designing and implementing overall strategies and policies to ensure the success of summer school. Dr. Snider will also be working closely with faculty, administrators, and students to identify areas for growth in summer courses and programs across the university.
Brenda is the administrative coordinator for the vice president for academic affairs and provost. She plans, organizes and administers functions for the provost's office. Additionally, she provides the provost administrative support in faculty grievances, tenure and promotion, appointments, re-appointments, sabbaticals, leave without pay, university faculty appointments and terminations, the faculty manual, academic council, university curriculum and honorary degree nominations.
Angie provides administrative support in clerical and financial management for the vice president for academic affairs and provost as well as the Directors of Summer School and Online Education. She coordinates general faculty meetings and emeritus faculty.
Assistant Financial Officer for the Office of Academic Affairs
Chris serves as the financial liaison for all departments reporting to the provost. He is responsible for budget amendments, corrections and training.
Human Resources Manager for Academic Affairs
Berinthia serves as the human resources manager for the vice president of academic affairs and provost's budget center in directing and managing several human resource programs including payroll, personnel and classification.
Anolyn is an administrative coordinator in the office of the Provost and supports the efforts of the Provost Fellows. She provides support in the areas of academics, faculty personnel, and faculty development.
