Robert H. Jones
Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost
Professor of Forestry and Environmental Conservation
Dr. Robert H. Jones is Clemson’s first executive vice president for academic affairs and provost, providing leadership for the university’s undergraduate and graduate programs, academic support programs, research and public service activities. Jones earned his bachelor’s degree in forest management and master’s in forestry from Clemson and his doctorate in forest ecology from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse University. He previously served as dean of the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University and department head and professor of biological sciences at Virginia Tech.
Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs
In her role as Associate Provost, Granberg develops and promotes diversity and inclusivity among faculty and implements initiatives to support faculty engagement and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition, Granberg serves as co-chair of the University’s strategic plan, ClemsonForward, and is guiding the campus community through the process of implementing the new plan as well as college reorganization.
Associate Provost for Academic Finance
In her role as Associate Provost, Kennedy provides leadership, oversight, programmatic coordination and support of the delivery of academic programs, support services and budgets. She also holds a key role in the support and achievement of the University’s strategic plan, ClemsonForward.
Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management
In his role as Associate Vice President, Knepfle manages the personnel, budgets, technology and operations of the Registrar’s Office, Admissions Office, Student Financial Aid to strategically lead the various aspects of enrollment management. In addition, he serves as the key representative for student enrollment, retention and degree management at Clemson.
Brenda Smith-Allen is the executive assistant for the executive vice president for academic affairs and provost. She plans, organizes, administers and manages functions for the Provost. Additionally, she provides the provost administrative support in faculty grievances, tenure and promotion, appointments, re-appointments, sabbaticals, leave without pay, University faculty appointments and terminations, the Faculty Manual, academic council, University curriculum and honorary degree nominations. She also serves as the office manager.
Keaton provides administrative support in financial management for the executive vice president for academic affairs and provost as well as assisting the budget center in financial management as needed. She assists the executive assistant to the Provost and coordinates the general faculty meetings and the emeritus faculty recognition.
Assistant Financial Officer for the Office of Academic Affairs
Wood serves as the financial liaison for all departments reporting to the provost. He is responsible for budget amendments, corrections and training.
Human Resources Manager for the Office of Academic Affairs
Allison serves as the human resources manager for the vice president of academic affairs and provost's budget center in directing and managing several human resource programs including payroll, personnel and classification.
