Division of Student Affairs Outstanding Student Awards
The
Division of Student Affairs thanks you for your interest in applying for one of
the Outstanding Student Awards. These awards, with a long history within
the division, are for honoring the many academic and service-oriented
achievements that Clemson University students bring to the campus
community.
The award names and
criteria are below, and applications are to be submitted no later than 5:00 PM
on April 5th, 2010.
Walter T. Cox
Graduate Student Award
be a first year graduate student who has successfully completed 9
credit hours at Clemson University
must be employed by the Division of Student Affairs
be dedicated to a field of study
show ongoing excellence as a contributing member of the Clemson community
through leadership in Clemson University and/or community organizations
encourage the participation in valuable campus and community efforts
embody the ideal that learning takes place both in and out of the
classroom, therefore models the holistic academic experience
demonstrate commitment to and appreciation for diversity and acceptance
through collaborative efforts with campus and/or community entities
have a minimum GPR of 3.0
RC Edwards Outstanding
Graduate Student Award
awarded to the ‘all around best' graduate student
be an exemplary graduate student by going above and beyond expected
duties
must have a minimum GPR of 3.25
show high level of support to the mission, vision, goals and objectives
of his/her department
show ongoing excellence as a contributing member of the Clemson community
through leadership in Clemson University and/or community organizations
have completed a minimum of one full term with Clemson
University (Fall or Spring semester)
maintain high scholarly achievement and ambition exhibited by excellent
academic record and commitment to field of study through presentation, research
or participation
Almeda Jacks Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award
awarded to the ‘all around best' undergraduate student
a junior or senior with a minimum two terms at Clemson University
must have a minimum GPR of 3.0
understands and upholds the Clemson University Core Values of Honesty,
Integrity and Respect
maintain high scholarly achievement and ambition exhibited by excellent
academic record and commitment to field of study through presentation, research
or participation
show a cross section of involvement in University departments, clubs,
organizations or community activities
