Student Affairs

Welcome Student Employees, summer 2011

Dear Student Affairs Student Employees,

I would like to welcome incoming student employees and thank our current and past employees for the hard work and time you have dedicated to the Division of Student Affairs. I feel that being able to offer student internships or job positions is an integral part of the division. We value your work and realize that without your commitment our department would not run as efficiently.

As we strive to create the nation’s most engaged, satisfied and successful student body, it is individuals like you who help us attain our goal. Your involvement goes beyond helping our division; it betters the University as a whole. We work each day to give our students the opportunity to become leaders through applying classroom learning in a real work environment. It is my sincerest wish that your time with Student Affairs allows you to feel as though you are engaged in our efforts, satisfied with your work and successful in implementing your ideas.

We would like for you to let us know about your expectations or unique experience with Student Affairs. Please know that your opinion is valued and can be heard in multiple ways, including

  • visiting our Facebook page at and posting pictures and  comments about your new experience,
  • emailing me at and sharing your thoughts about working for Student Affairs,
  • meeting with your adviser and discussing what you can learn with us and how to apply it after graduation,
  • telling other students how you feel about your time with the Division and if you think your position could benefit them as well.

As we start this new school year, please know that I am grateful for your work and that Student Affairs is here for you every step of the way. I look forward to what this year has to offer, each and every one of you is an integral part of our development and success.

Gail A. DiSabatino
