Letter to Student Employees, summer 2013

Dear Students,

I would like to thank you for choosing to spend your summer in Clemson working as a student employee. Clemson University is proud to be able to offer on-campus employment and internships to its students, and whether you’re painting residence halls, attending the front desk at Fike, serving as an Orientation Ambassador or working at Campus Banner + Design, please know your time and efforts are appreciated.

But I’m not just thanking you for helping keep our University up and running. More than anything, I want our students to leave here with the experience and education that they need to succeed. By working at Clemson this summer, you’re perpetuating our belief that each of us has the potential to positively impact the world. I’m so proud our students take the initiative to learn outside of the classroom, and I hope you will continue to augment your education with hands-on experience.

I would love to hear about your summer thus far, so if you want to share a story or picture from the last few months, feel free to email me at gaild@clemson.edu or post it on our Facebook page at facebook.com/clemsonstudentaffairs.

More than rankings or accolades, the success of our students is the true barometer of Student Affairs, so keep in mind that we’re here to provide you with the tools you need to get ahead. Again, thank you for all of your contributions to Clemson, and I look forward to seeing how our University continues to grow in the fall.

Sincerely,

Gail A. DiSabatino
Vice President for Student Affairs
