See Policy on Humanities and Social Sciences for Engineering
Curricula.
2 Choose BIOL 103 or BIOL 110.
3Statics: EM 201; Dynamics: EM 202 or CE 208; alternatively ME 201 for both.
4CH 223 and 227 (preferred) or CH 201.
5 Choose ME 302 or CE 206 (prerequisite for CE 321).
6 Choose BIOCH 305/306 or BIOCH 301/302.
7MICRO 413 or approved BIOCH, GEN, MICRO, BIOSV 300/400 level course.
8Choose engineering course from list in the department.
9Choose fro minor, BS/MS (600 level), or other technical (200, 300, 400 level) course.
[Students
are urged to complete a minor and participate in
the Cooperative Education program and/or the Biosystems Intern program
(BE 370), and/or the Study Abroad program. Those with medical career interests
should consider graduate study and/or medical school].
Notes: A. All Biosystems Engineering students must have a cumulative engineeringgrade-point ratio of 2.0 to enroll in any 300 or 400 level Be courses.
B. Biosystems Engineering students are encouraged to complete a Minor and.or a Coop program and/or Internship (BE 370) andor a Study Abroad Program.
c. Probable minors include Bioengineering, Life Science cluster, Envr. Engr. (See Minor Recom. Sheet for Applied Biotech).
D. Departmental Honors Thesis (BE H300/H301/H400) is available for qualifying Junior/Senior students.
E.Biosystems Engineering majors are encouraged to consider possibilities of graduate study early in the undergraduate program and plan accordingly, including the possibility of participating in Clemson's BS/MS program wherein six credits may count in both the BS and a MS degree. Probable graduate programs include Biosystems Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Bioengineering, and other engineering and non-engineering programs. BS/MS agreements exist for BE.
F.Students must update Portfolio's per individual course completion.
