Welcome to HRD 860

This site represents the activities used in HRD 860 - Instructional Materials Development. This course was delivered to two cohort groups of students enrolled in the Masters of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Online program, specifically the Executives in the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. This program was based on funding from a special grant based in the Strom Thurmond Institute. This course was provided to Cohorts 1 & 2 during the Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 semesters, respectively.

The sections taught in the Fall and Spring semesters included use of Macromedia Breeze Live which allows the instructor and students to engage in synchronous discourse via the Internet. Each of the Breeze Live sessions were recorded and can be viewed from the course site.

Fundamentals of computer applications for teachers. Develops competencies in general computer applications such as word processing and database management and addresses educational uses of the Internet and computer-assisted instruction, with emphasis on legal and ethical issues and the impact of computer technology upon society.
This course was delivered using BlackBoard, Clemson's chosen course management software package.
