In partnership with the Clemson Alumni Association, the Women's Alumni Council is committed to enhance the lifelong Clemson experience by serving, involving, and informing our alumni, current and future students and friends of the University. We are dedicated to strengthening the lifelong connection of alumnae to Clemson University.
About the Women’s Alumni Council
The Women's Alumni Council was founded on April 7, 1990 and subsequently became a constituency board for the Alumni of Clemson University. The Council was created to provide quality programs and services for Clemson alumna, students and friends.
Our purpose is to enable women alumni and friends to remain involved and connected to Clemson. Our board is comprised of 24 members from 12 different areas throughout the Southeast including: Anderson, Atlanta, Baltimore, Camden, Charlotte, Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, Myrtle Beach, Richmond, Spartanburg and Virginia Beach. Each member hosts local events in their respective area for area Clemson alumni and friends.
Our 2008 Fiscal Year goals include:
- Raising $10,000 for the WAC Endowed Scholarship by June 30, growing the balance to $100,000
- Welcoming 150 participants in the 10th anniversary of Bring Your Daughter to Clemson weekend
- Hosting at least 2 events in each of the 12 cities where WAC has an area representative
- Encouraging 28% participation in the Clemson Fund from female alumni
- Submitting at least one Distinguished Service Award nomination by June 30

May 16-18, 2008 the Women’s Alumni Council will host the 10th annual Bring Your Daughter to Clemson weekend. To commemorate the event, we are raising $10,000 for our endowed scholarship, which provides 3 renewable $1000 scholarships each year.
