Board of Directors

The Board of Directors has four categories of membership - elected, automatic, ex-officio and honorary.

Elected Directors are constituent leaders nominated by alumni and friends, reviewed by a nominating committee and elected by the Board.

Automatic Directors include the immediate past president of the Clemson University Foundation, the president and president-elect of the Clemson University Alumni Association, president of the Clemson University Architectural Foundation, Clemson Advancement Foundation for Design and Building, and the president and vice president of IPTAY, Clemson's athletic support organization.

Ex-officio Directors include the president of Clemson University, the vice president of Advancement, the chief alumni and development officer, the chief financial officer, the chairman of the Trustee Committee for Advancement, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs, a representative of the Council of Academic Deans, a representative from Faculty Senate, and the secretary and treasurer of the Foundation.

Honorary Directors are elected to four-year terms and may be eligible for reelection by the Board in recognition of exemplary commitment, service, support or anticipated support to Clemson. Honorary Directors serve as ex-officio members.
