To cover acquisitions and processing costs in a major collection or for a special collection area.

To endow a curatorship for a distinguished special collection.

To support ongoing major equipment and information property.
Named Library Research Scholarship -- $100,000
To support a graduate student each year in developing important research and bibliographic knowledge while working in special areas of the library.

To fully support the activities of a renowned scholar through an endowment.

To support a preeminent scholar of international reputation with an endowment sufficient to the aspirations of the program.
Named Chair -- $1,250,000
To provide partial support for an outstanding scholar currently among the faculty at Clemson.
Named Visiting Professorship -- $750,000
To support a scholar who dispenses expertise for a given period of time.
Named Distinguished Professorship -- $500,000
To provide supplemental support for an outstanding faculty member.
Named Teacher or Researcher -- $250,000
To support a faculty member whose teaching accomplishments are profound or who is engaged in specific research of particular importance.
Named Senior Scholar -- $250,000
To support a retired faculty member who returns to campus to teach on a part-time basis.
Named Scholar -- $100,000
To support a member of the faculty in his or her field of teaching or research.
Named Lecture or Seminar Series -- $100,000
To support lectures or special seminars by scholars and public figures.

To support a particular academic program.

Named Distinguished Fellowship Endowment -- $1,000,000
To establish a full fellowship program to attract the nation's top graduate students.
Named Presidential Fellowship Endowment -- $150,000
To provide fellowships for outstanding graduate students.
Named Fellowship Endowment -- $100,000
To provide restricted recruiting support to a graduate student.
Scholarship Support -- Minimum Gift Guidelines
Clemson National Scholars -- $1,500,000
To support a full scholarship program to attract the nation's top high school students.
Named Presidential Scholarship Endowment -- $150,000
To provide scholarships for academically deserving undergraduates and shall otherwise be unrestricted.
Named Athletic Position -- $100,000
To provide permanent support for student athletic positions on Clemson's intercollegiate athletic teams, cheerleading squads or bands.
Named Endowment for Undergraduate or Graduate Research and Travel -- $50,000
To provide support for undergraduate and graduate student research and travel.
Named Scholarship Endowment -- $25,000
To provide restricted permanent revenue stream in support of an undergraduate student.
Walter T. Cox Scholarships -- A gift of any size may be made to this endowment pool.
To provide opportunities for students who might not otherwise be able to attend Clemson and to help ensure that Clemson remains accessible to all South Carolinians, even with its rigorous academic standards.

**Named Existing Buildings -- 25% of Building Current Value
To provide funds to rehabilitate buildings or endow operations within the building.
**Named Future Buildings -- 25% of Actual Construction Cost
Each new building project must be defined to incorporate an endowment for ongoing maintenance.
Named Laboratories -- $250,000
To provide an endowment for the general support of a laboratory.
Named Historic Restoration Project -- $100,000
To fund a specific restoration project for a University historic property.
Named Lecture Hall -- $50,000
To provide an endowment for the general support of a lecture hall.
Named Classroom -- $50,000
To provide an endowment for the general support of a classroom.
* Numerous campus and off-campus projects (e.g., buildings, centers, camps, research facilities, etc.) will offer physical naming opportunities for rooms, building sections, gardens, walkways, etc. Most of these projects (e.g., Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, Athletic Department, etc.) will have unique printed material, which outlines naming opportunities.
** Each building project should include a sufficient endowment for ongoing maintenance.
