It's About Students

Lori

Lori Pindar ’09
Sumter, S.C.

“Clemson offered me a full scholarship along with the chance to study in Europe after my freshman year and in Ghana during Maymester, as well as many other perks.” She spent the past Maymester in Ghana studying HIV/AIDS and received a grant to conduct a comparative analysis on the subject.

“Clemson has given so much to me and has opened my eyes so much,” she says. “I hope to one day give back to Clemson.”

Students who choose Clemson University come for more than just an ordinary college education. They come for cutting-edge research; for the process of discovery; for hands-on, individualized instruction from faculty considered leaders in their fields; for opportunities to participate in community service and study-abroad experiences seeking creativity, engagement and enrichment.

There is an urgency for additional scholarships and fellowships both need and merit-based due to:

  • Dwindling public funding
  • Growing tuition rates
  • More people entering higher education

Attracting the best and brightest students to Clemson will provide the state with a knowledgeable, skilled and enthusiastic work force.

THE NEEDPeers
Clemson University needs to raise private funding to attract the best students to our University and to help worthy students have an opportunity to gain a higher education.

  • Graduate fellowships

  • IPTAY scholarships for student athletes
