Designed to connect Clemson alums via common geographic and/or industry criteria, the Roar Board is a Web-based business directory that allows alums to locate other Clemson graduates when searching for a new service vendor or, perhaps, when entering a new geographic market. For an annual membership fee of $500, you and your company receive a prominent listing complete with company logo, and the listing will be linked to the Clemson Alumni Association's official website, which receives up to 20,000 unique user sessions per month.

President and Mrs. Barker hosted students for Burgers with the Barkers on July 14, 2010. Over 450 students attended and a great time was had by everyone involved. President and Mrs. Barker will tell you that this is one of their favorite events of the year. Approximately 600 burgers were consumed by 450 students. view photos >

Professors Help Students Benefit from Study Abroad

Mr. Nakuma sponsored a pilot program, Cultural Literacies Across Media, to encourage study-abroad students to be more thoughtful about their time in other countries after seeing troubling video on YouTube of student's traveling abroad. The course, which is now officially part of the Clemson curriculum, teaches students how to understand their international experience and present it to the world using multimedia. read more >

Clemson To Award 700 Degrees

Nearly 700 degrees will be conferred at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, during summer graduation exercises in Littlejohn Coliseum at Clemson University. All five colleges will participate in the single ceremony, which also will feature an honorary degree presentation to James Oliver Sweeny. read more >

Women's Alumni Council Calls for Reps

Interested in getting more involved with your alma mater? Consider becoming a Woman's Alumni Council Local Representative. Alumnae reps will be asked to attend 2 meetings a year, assist with planning, volunteering and attend Bring Your Daughter to Clemson Weekend, help identify possible successors to Women's Alumni Council, plan and implement local events in your area, serve on the board of the local Clemson Club, attend Clemson sponsored functions in your area, make an annual give to the Clemson Fund, and generally support Clemson! Fan Appreciation Day

Clemson will hold its annual Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, August 22 at Clemson Memorial Stadium. All Clemson players and Coach Swinney will be available for autographs beginning at 3:00 PM. The session will last for two hours. No one will be allowed inside the stadium prior to 3:00 PM. Fans will be allowed to enter through Gates 1, 5 and 9. T-shirts will be available for the first 1,000 fans 12 years of age or younger who enter through Gate 5. Media guides and football game tickets will be on sale at the athletic ticket office from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Season posters will also be available at Gate 5. The IPTAY Office will be open for those having questions concerning their donation or parking from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. read more >
