Center for Emerging Technologies Opens

Center for Emerging Technologies Opens

Located at the heart of CU-ICAR, the Center for Emerging Technologies provides office, administrative and laboratory space for the transportation, technology and energy sectors. Emerging or established companies are able to expand and develop technologies that complement the research of Clemson faculty and students. The center is designed to complete the technology chain from laboratory to the consumer end-user. Clemson University President James F. Barker said CU-ICAR, through the people who visit the campus every day, operates as a community. CU-ICAR’s worldwide reputation is the result of its successful partnerships, he said. Since 2004, the CU-ICAR campus has garnered 19 corporate partners, 30 research partners and 775 employees across 760,000 constructed square feet. Occupied square footage is 375,000.

Got Pets? Support Clemson Alumni Association and Save Money

Clemson Alumni Association feels that it is important to support the companies that support our alumni. We also like to provide great benefits to Clemson alumni. Here’s a case where we can do both. Nationwide Insurance® has been a partner of the alumni association since 2004, during which time they have been have been supporting our Alumni Association with sponsorships and providing alumni benefits. There are even several local Nationwide® agents who are Clemson alumni! Now Clemson alumni are eligible to receive a discount on pet health insurance through Veterinary Pet Insurance® Co. (VPI®), a Nationwide company. Many pet owners consider their furry friends “a part of their family.” Unforeseen accidents or illness can cause veterinary bills to add up, but one way to manage these expenses is to consider pet insurance. VPI offers policies for both dogs and cats and Clemson alumni receive a 5% discount on any base medical plan. Learn more about keeping your four-legged family members healthy and happy!
