Quick Tips for Tire Care & Maintenance

Quick Tips for Tire Care & Maintenance

Keep your tires in good shape to help you drive safely by following these simple tips from Nationwide Insurance. Make sure to check the air in your tires about twice a month and use a pressure gauge, because vision can be deceiving. Keep track of the tread depth on your tires, too. You’ll need replacements before the tread gets down to 4/32 inches. (For a quick measure, insert a quarter into the tread upside down; if part of Washington’s head is covered, you’re okay.) Also, remember to have your wheels rotated at least every other oil change, especially on a front-wheel drive car. Nationwide Insurance is the official insurance provider of Clemson Alumni Association and offers a special discount on auto insurance for Clemson alumni.
