Established in 2001, the ASC has been recognized nationally and internationally by organizations related to tutoring, supplemental instruction and collegiate learning. For its 50th anniversary, the Class of 1956 initiated fundraising for a new building. Dr. Theodore G. Westmoreland, a member of the Class of 1956, then established a $1.5 million endowment to support the academic success programs housed in the Class of 1956 Academic Success Center. We opened to begin serving students in the spring semester of 2012. Many thanks to Dr. Westmoreland and the dedicated alumni from the Class of 1956.
This space provides classrooms and designated areas for tutoring, workshops, SI sessions and other programs to help students.
