The University is currently preparing for its 2012 decennial reaffirmation of accreditation review by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Reaffirmation of Accreditation involves a Self Study by the university and the submission of a Compliance Certification by September 10, 2012 and Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) by February 25, 2013. An Off-Site Reaffirmation Committee will review the university's Compliance Certification on November 6-9, 2012. An On-Site Reaffirmation Committee will then visit campus April 15-18, 2013 to "conduct a focused evaluation at the campus to finalize issues of compliance with the SACSCOC Core Requirements, Comprehensive Standards, and Federal Requirements; provide consultation regarding the issues addressed in the QEP; and evaluate the acceptability of the QEP."
