Identity is a critical component of our efforts to communicate the vision and mission of the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research. Early impressions are formed from visual and written cues that often become the basis for perception, attitude, opinion and image. Maintaining graphic and editorial consistency is critical to building a strong identity for CU-ICAR, which will help enhance its brand. Consistent graphic standards are essential in promoting a cohesive and focused image. Maintaining a focused graphic identity with the use of the CU-ICAR logo helps to create a positive image reflected by our local and global community. This serves not as a creative restraint, but as a unifying element. With consistent graphic standards come ease in designing and printing, savings in designing and printing costs, and savings in time.

Identity of Clemson University Programs Associated with CU-ICAR
No unauthorized wordmark, logo or graphic elements may be used to represent Clemson University programs or facilities associated with CU-ICAR. These units adhere to existing University visual identity guidelines. Their graphic identity features the Clemson University wordmark with the name of the unit set in Helvetica Black and placed below the wordmark. The CU-ICAR logo may be used as the subordinate mark.

The graphic and editorial standards should not to be violated without approval from the Department of Publications and Promotion (864-656-2467). These standards are meant to create a strong image for CU-ICAR and Clemson University. Your cooperation is appreciated.
