BMW Corporation
and the State of South Carolina have endowed a tenure-track chaired
faculty position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with
an emphasis in Vehicle Systems Integration. Its role is to support
the research and educational mission of the newly created Clemson
University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR).
At the heart of CU-ICAR is the Graduate Program in Automotive Engineering
with a focus on Product Development and System Integration. This
program is being developed to address the growing need in the automotive
industry for research and workforce training in the area of vehicle
system/platform integration. The program will be housed in a dedicated
